This is my message from Marina.
Hi Dad,
I took the bus home from school and when I got home I found BisMarck on the Third Floor running around like a Puppy. (BisMarck can barely climb the stairs any more).
I went down stairs and left Lucy out of here cage and she stayed in her cage and did not run around all crazy like she used to.
Oh yeah, I got student of the month for January.
So typical Marina.
Apparently Mr Becket was on stage during assembly and said she wanted to recognize somebody who has spirit, has original ideas she is the ultimate term player and she's a pretty good little actress. So we at Divinci middle school recognize her as Art Student of the month.

Guy Who Told Me Too Much or Not Enough

You want to trust religion
And you know it's allegory
And you know it's allegory
But the people who are followers
Have written their own story.
I was standing with Marina in line at the basketball game last night and the lines were really snail like slow. This guy kind of creeps around us and gets in line and stands in front of us. I said to him, "You should wait in the line properly". The man says "oh I am Sorry" and returns to the line in back of us.
Well there was a new cook at the Rose Garden so the line was not moving all that fast. So the man in back of us (I wish I could give him a name but I never asked) asks me if that was my daughter standing with me. One would think it was a creepy question, but it really wasn't. I said yes it is. He started telling me at length how lucky I am to have children. My simple reply was, Yes I am. there is nothing quite like it.
Well the lines were really moving slow and this man continued talking. He told me he has not had a girl friend for 40 years. He said his last girl friend was back when he was 19 years old.
He told me about living in a group home for years and finally returning to his government job he had been away from for 6 years.
Believe it or not his conversation wasn't creepy at all, rather it was something one had to listen to.
I asked him if not having a girl friend for the last 40 years has that made him sad.?
He said, "Yes It did". without expanding.
I asked do you plan on ever having a girl friend?
He answered. "Yes".
When we got back to our seats Marina said she almost started crying when I was talking to this man because his story is so sad. Upon reflection, there is a sparkle of hope in this story if you would like there to be one.
Life is bigger
Its bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
The distance in your eyes
Oh no Ive said too much
I set it up
